Fresh Luxury in NoMa
Fresh from the recent opening of a notable hotel in Washington, D.C., we are excited to introduce The Morrow Hotel, which is now a part of Hilton’s Curio Collection. Situated in the lively NoMa neighborhood, on the grounds where the city’s former Central Armature Works once stood, this brand-new boutique hotel offers travelers a blend of sophisticated and contemporary comforts within a chic ambiance. It stands as one of the premier high-end lodging options in what is renowned as one of D.C.’s most pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods.
Elegant Design and Amenities
The Morrow presents 203 rooms and suites, each boasting a distinctive design aesthetic that pays homage to the artistic essence of NoMa—an area celebrated for its vibrant murals, street art, and urban graffiti. The rooms feature serene color palettes, complemented by fine Italian linens and indulgent Le Labo bath and body amenities. Furthermore, the hotel boasts an impressive 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, including a rooftop terrace, offering an ideal setting for evening cocktails and gatherings.
Culinary Excellence
Beyond luxurious accommodations, The Morrow Hotel plans to tantalize the neighborhood’s taste buds with a signature dining experience curated by the esteemed chef Nicholas Stefanelli, renowned for his leadership at the Michelin-starred Italian restaurant, Masseria. This dining venue, named Le Clou, will showcase elevated French cuisine, emphasizing seasonal ingredients for both breakfast and dinner, with brunch service slated to launch in the near future. Early next year, the hotel will unveil a rooftop bar, known as Upstairs at The Morrow, along with a cozy cocktail bar, Vesper.
Community Hub
In a statement, Stefanelli expressed his excitement, saying, “As both a chef and an avid traveler, I find immense inspiration in embarking on this new professional journey in the realm of hotels. Collaborating with this fantastic group of partners has been a true delight. I’ve harbored a desire to embark on a hotel project for quite some time, and after my initial interactions with The Morrow’s team, it became evident that our approach to hospitality and creativity was perfectly aligned. We look forward to crafting an enjoyable experience for both locals and visitors alike.”
The Morrow is an integral part of the recent 3rd Street District development, strategically positioned between NoMa, Union Market, and H Street, offering convenient access to public transportation. The hotel aspires to serve as a central hub where community members can congregate, combining hotel, residential, dining, and retail destinations along the walker-friendly streets.
Global Recognition
Jenna Hackett, the global brand head of the Curio Collection, expressed her delight, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome The Morrow to Curio Collection by Hilton, a globally recognized portfolio of unique and distinct hotels and resorts, meticulously chosen for their individual character. The Morrow, with its diverse food and beverage options and upscale design, seamlessly fits into Curio Collection within one of Washington, D.C.’s most rapidly evolving creative districts, reflecting the brand’s commitment to providing authentic, tailored experiences through locally inspired offerings and elevated amenities.”
Artistic Inspiration
The hotel’s architectural vision was brought to life by Shalom Baranes Associates for its exterior, while the lobby and multiple dining spaces were crafted by INC Architecture & Design. The guest rooms, common areas, and a fitness center were meticulously designed by Rottet Studio. The inspiration behind the design seamlessly weaves together the vibrant heritage of the NoMa neighborhood with its rich artistic history, creating a captivating ambiance throughout the property.
Adam Rolston, the creative and managing director of INC Architecture & Design, shared his thoughts, saying, “The Morrow ushers in a new era of hospitality for a discerning audience that appreciates the grandeur of history blended with the cozy comforts of home. Additionally, the pleasures and well-being derived from strong social connections are beautifully manifested in a magical fusion of modern and neoclassical design elements, anchoring the hotel firmly within its city and neighborhood.”
